Has arrived Germany to prepare for ANUGA 2017 to be held in Cologne, Germany from this weekend.
Since about 7000 companies from more than 100 countries will be exhibited, during this period the hotel rates in Cologne are skyrocketing, so I am staying in the neighboring Düsseldorf.
Dusseldorf is a city with close ties with Japan. Since 1954 Mitsubishi Corporation first made a commercial registration, now 365 Japanese companies are active here. 25% of Japanese living in Germany live in this area, so Japanese clubs and Japanese schools are well-established, too. I wonder if the Germans living in Düsseldorf also feel Japan familiar and friendly. I will use this time to investigate how Washoku restaurant, Japanese food culture, Japanese food ingredients exist in this town.
